Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust & Literary Executors
Urgyen House is the responsibility of the Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust which is the working name of Uddiyana Trust, a UK charity (reg 1046398), dedicated to preserving Urgyen Sangharakshita’s legacy. In 2005 Sangharakshita donated all his books and artefacts to the Trust, and by his Will placed his literary, photographic and audio archives also into Uddiyana’s care. The Trust looks after all of this and works, through Urgyen House and the Sangharakshita Library, and with the Literary Executors, to make this valuable legacy accessible to future generations.

Director of Adhisthana and member of the Adhisthana Team, committed to living out and carrying on the spirit of Sangharakshita's legacy.
The Literary Executors
The Literary Executors were appointed by Sangharakshita. They administer his Literary Estate on behalf of the Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust. In particular, the Literary Executors have responsibility for managing the copyrights for, access to, and use of anything written by Sangharakshita.
They are also responsible for the copyrights for all audio and video recordings of Sangharakshita's talks, seminars, interviews etc. and anything containing his spoken word or personal appearance. They liaise closely with Windhorse Publications, Sangharakshita’s publishers, and with other Triratna media institutions; as well as with the Triratna Translations Board, which oversees the translation of Sangharakshita’s writings into many languages.
Subhuti
Appointed by Sangharakshita in 2003.
Advisor
Subhuti worked closely with Sangharakshita from the earliest days of the Triratna Buddhist Community and has written and lectured extensively on Sangharakshita's legacy. His published work includes Sangharakshita: a New Voice in the Buddhist Tradition.
Vidyadevi
Appointed by Sangharakshita in 2003.
Retired
Vidyadevi was editor of many of Sangharakshita’s books from 1993-2013, as well as editor of his Complete Works and compiler of its Concordance.
Nagabodhi
Appointed by Sangharakshita in 2003.
Advisor
Nagabodhi was Director of Windhorse Publications, the main publisher of Sangharakshita’s works, from 1974-1998.
Sagaraghosha
Appointed by Sangharakshita in 2010.
Retired
Sagaraghosa worked with the Cambridge University Press for many years. Together with Sangharakshita, she developed the first ideas towards a Complete Works.
Kalyanaprabha
Appointed by Sangharakshita in 2014.
Kalyanaprabha worked with Sangharakshita to bring out his last five books and was a co-editor of his Complete Works. From 2020 she has been the Literary Executors' Coordinator and a member of the International Triratna Translations Board.
Prajnaketu
Appointed 2021
Prajnaketu was Director of the Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust from 2022-2024. He has a particular interest in the skilful use of AI and is author of Cyberloka.
Vidyaruchi
Appointed 2023
Vidyaruchi was personal secretary to Sangharakshita 2009-2013. His writings include a commentary on Sangharakshita’s A Survey of Buddhism.
Vajratara
Appointed 2023
Vajratara has given scores of talks on the teachings of Sangharakshita. She is a member of the College of Public Preceptors.
Nagapriya
Appointed 2025
Nagapriya is co-founder and director of Editorial Dharmamegha, a small publishing firm whose work includes Spanish translations of Sangharakshita’s works. He is a published writer, as well as editor of Sangharakshita’s seminars; and a member of the College of Public Preceptors.
